Question: Good morning today we bought your "Fluid Forces" spreadsheet, while using it I realized that in calculating the Terminal Velocity by putting the input data mass, I find it as input data body velocity in the calculation of the Force on Body.
I believe this is incorrect.
We are trying to calculate the rate of ascent of a lifting underwater balloon, can you help us?
Closure: Thanks for the very quick reply, the only thing I wanted to underline is that when I give the value of Mass in the calculation of the Terminal Velocity, in the calculation of the Force on a Body this value is automatically assumed as Body Velocity and viceversa, it seems strange, but typing the correct values the calculations are correct.

It would appear that your client is trying to find a terminal velocity rising through a water column but his listing is for the calculation option ‘force on a Body’.
I have attached a calculation for the terminal velocity which supports the calculator results (attached), so there is no problem with the calculator.
The Force on a body calculation (attached), cannot really work if no body acceleration and/or velocities are input.
If your client is trying to calculate the terminal velocity of a balloon rising through the water column, he needs to use the ‘Terminal Velocity’ calculation option (attached - Balloon), but he should bear in mind that the calculator has not been designed for this task. The answer is still correct, but it doesn’t go minus because the calculator reverses acceleration for this situation.
Why therefore is your client using Force on Body’ to calculate ‘Terminal Velocity’
