Yes! it is artificial, but No! it isn't intelligence. It’s all about control.
The internet was originally created for the "freedom of information", between them, Microsoft and Google are using what they call “AI” to stop this threat to their control of universal information.
In fact, there is no such thing as artificial intelligence. All software is created by programmers according to the wishes of their employers, and AI is no different. When you ask a question of an AI search engine, it will extract a selected response from a collection of preferred websites, irrespective of its voracity and/or authenticity.
AI software doesn't think about, or evaluate its responses, and its owners have no interest in truth, honesty or relevance. The claims made by such companies about safeguarding the public from dangerous or offensive websites refer only to sites that they regard as dangerous or offensive to their profit margins.
Moreover, whilst Microsoft and Google search engines, even before AI, deliberately ignore websites they don't like, both companies will publish data from them, but AI responses rarely identify its source. This is plagiarism.
AI is their way of controlling the information published on the internet to suit their financial agendas. Between them, Google and Microsoft are responsible for more than 93% of all internet searches; we (the general public) are responsible for having given them this monopoly. It now looks as though both companies are about to use their monopoly to demolish the internet's reason for existence.
All we can hope is that between them, Google and Microsoft will destroy their popularity and the general public will switch to other search engines, those that give us - the users - freedom of choice as to what we read and where we read it, just as it was when we had books.
So beware, next time you carry out a search in either Copilot or Google AI, don't accept their responses as correct; 'glue in pizzas', I ask you!
Search engine AI responses to the request; 'calqlata reviews and comments'
1) user reviews are and comments are scarce and often contradictory:
As far as we can see, there are no (zero) reviews of CalQlata on the internet.
but even if there were, they cannot be both scarce and often contradictory.
2) CalQlata has a medium trust score:
The only website that claims such a score (3-stars) publishes a default value, it has no reviews, yet it praises CalQlata.
CalQlata has carried out its own check of its website and found nothing that reflects Google's claim (see below).
3) claim; "Reviews are mixed, with some users finding the calculators useful and others expressing scepticism or issues with email delivery after purchase." (as a warning to potential customers):
This is blatantly unfair and untrue.
We have no record of any customer expressing scepticism of our calculators, and as far as we are aware; the internet makes no such claims. We would like anybody that is aware of any such claims, to let us know (see 5) below).
To the best of our knowledge, no customer has been unable to successfully install one of our calculators on a suitable machine. We often provide replacement copies (if lost) years after purchase, free of charge. If they were not useful, past customers would not ask for them to be replaced; years later.
Installation emails are automatically issued to every customer, following every purchase, by CalQlata's server. Occasionally, however, a customer's server may block our emails or they will be deposited in the customer's Junk folder and not found. No matter, if a customer cannot find our emails and lets us know, we always ensure they are duly received by another route.
4) refers to a single Facebook comment more than ten-years ago regarding a CalQlata customer complaint about communication issues.
CalQlata hasn't operated its Facebook site for more than 10-years.
Moreover, in the entire life of the site; no CalQlata personnel is aware of any customer having communication issues that were not resolved within 24-hours.
5) highlights the lack of independent verification:
CalQlata is willing to admit that in more than 13 years, 90 calculators and thousands of customers, we have been notified of three errors in our calculators; two of which were typos, and the third was a coding issue. The customers that informed us of these problems were thanked and issued with corrected versions of the calculators, plus an additional calculator of their own choice free of charge.
a) If any customer has a problem with the technical aspects of a calculator, we will always provide assistance free of charge; we do not ask for regular subscription payments in return for this assistance.
b) This is more generous than any other site we are aware of, and;
c) a more impressive record than Google's artificial intelligence.
6) CalQlata makes strong claims about Google deliberately affecting their online visibility:
This is true.
In August 2018 Google announced that they were ignoring websites they didn't like. During the same month, Google Analytics reported a drop in CalQlata's visitor numbers from 13800 (and rising) to less than 6000 (and falling), literally overnight. CalQlata has unfortunately fallen foul of this announcement due to its truth and honesty policy.
Moreover, on 23/08/25 (for example), CalQlata 'IIS' logs revealed 11871 hits to the site. After removing bots, crawlers, unclear hits and CalQlata's own visits, we were left with over 1200 unquestionable page visits; Google Analytics acknowledged less than 200 for the same 24-hour period (dependent upon start and finish times). All of these omissions were CalQlata's science pages.
This appears to indicate quite clearly that Google (as a minimum) are indeed deliberately deselecting CalQlata in its searches, and probably many other similar sites it doesn't like.
Despite being claimed as an 'AI' response, Google's negative review of CalQlata has obviously been compiled by an individual. It is certainly not based upon experience, available information or any intelligence.
In fact, looking at the contrast between the responses from Google to the request; "calqlata reviews and comments", when compared with another site to the same request (Fig 1), it is difficult to imagine that these search engines are referring to the same website.!

CalQlata has carried out its own check of its website and found nothing that reflects Microsoft's claim (see below).
2) Limited Customer Support:
Apart from the technical assistance on our extensive website, CalQlata provides free support directly to all of its customers, which is more than Microsoft offers to its customers.
CalQlata has carried out its own site check which does not reflect Google's or Microsoft's medium trust, phishing and scamming claims.
On the basis of our own experience of Google's and Microsoft AI search facilities, CalQlata is confident in its evaluation of artificial intelligence.
